Situated on the beautiful north shore of Nova Scotia in Pictou County, I have been doing event planning for over 25 years for a large national corporation.
I have recently begun offering my years of experience as an independent event planner.
Having done countless meetings, conferences and other special events for the most senior executives, I have a unique knowledge and understanding not only of the events themselves, but the level of professionalism that corporate executives expect.
Whether your conference is within Canada or outside of Canada, My experience includes the entire scope of work from tendering for locations to executing several out of country conferences in several locations including Mexico, Jamaica or on a cruise ship afloat in the Caribbean.
I have planned countless conferences and business meetings within Canada from the East to the West Coast for groups as small as 20 and as large as 400; dinners and celebrations with as many as 1200 in attendance, including heads of multi-national corporations, and government dignitaries, where certain protocols must be observed.
For several years I was the event manager for a large charity event hosted in Halifax with participation from national and international companies. When I took over the event approximately 9 years ago, I grew it from struggling to host 300 guests to nearly tripling the attendance and participation. It is now a thriving and well recognized charity for the children’s hospitals in Atlantic Canada.

After working for so many years for senior executives, and organizing events that they were proud to have their name attached to, I completely understand the level of detail and professionalism that is required for a top drawer event.
Working to deadlines, juggling priorities and taking care of the important personal details for the discerning executive is what I'm known for throughout the industry, and excel in.
Not all events go exactly according to plan. Whether it’s a weather issue, a guest speaker that doesn’t show, or even a a medical emergency, an event planner must be prepared to act quickly and effectively, while keeping the disruption to the delegates to a minimum. Having the ability to handle damage control with calm and effective solutions is as important, and sometimes more important than the initial planning.
